September…

For Labor Day Weekend we went home to Idaho Falls and had a Bodily Family Reunion @ Heise. It was so fun! It poured rain on Sunday night but we didn’t let that get us down! We relaxed, enjoyed each other’s company, had a treasure hunt, a stash bash, celebrated Kolbin’s 3rd birthday. Sure love family!

Throwin’ back a Bodily Girl’s Laugh…

My cute friend Cara threw a Favorite Things Party this month! It was so fun! I really want to throw one for YW activity or around Christmas time? I don’t know when but it was so fun I want to definitely do it again! Thanks Cara for a fun night.

Camping at Colter Bay

Neal and I went camping with our good friends Eric and Jessica Strebel to Colter Bay in Wyoming, just on the other side of the Grand Teton’s. It was absolutely breathtaking! The “boys” or I guess I should say “hubbies” went up early Friday 7/25/08 to pick out a camp spot and have dinner ready for us “girls” or “wifey’s” when we got there, since we had to work that day. The ideal situation right!:) Jessica and I got to Colter Bay and to our surprise the food in our dutch oven wasn’t cooking, the coals the boys had gotten weren’t lighting, so we ran to a store near our camp and picked up some briquettes and lighter fluid and got things going. We didn’t eat until nearly 10 that night and we were STARVING! But our hubbies did an awesome job at picking our camp site! As we were driving back home, they told me that just 3 days earlier, a grizzly bear stole someone’s cookies in our camp! I’m so glad they didn’t tell me that before…I would’ve been paranoid the whole time, but to our luck, we didn’t see one bear while we were there. We had a great time with the Strebel’s and we’re already missing them very much!

Camp Out....

Camping at Heise hot springs

Neal and I in front of the tent we've only used one other time...sadly! We're really hoping to get in a lot of camping time this summer! So Neal and I just decided on Friday to go camping because the weather was holding up. That what we like to call spontaneity. When we made our reservation we got the last spot at Heise so we weren't expecting the best, but this camp spot was really close to the neighboring spot and we felt a little awkward because we were supposed to share the fire pit with them. They were a family with kids and had their chairs set up all around it and their friends were on their other side, so we decided to just walk across the road and have our own fire to lessen the awkward tension. :)
My sister Heather, Jacey, and her friends Melissa and Cameron went swimming at Heise, Friday night and came and ate s'mores with us after they were done.
Here we are the campers...
We went on the Cress Creek hike near Heise on Saturday, it was beautiful and the perfect hike for me, not too hard but not boring. Here's a view of the snake river...it's really high right now, and moves really fast, it's a little scary!
