Neal’s family had a German exchange student when he was 10 yrs old and they still keep in touch with her. Her and her family came to visit and I got to meet them for the first time. They were absolutely delightful! Silke, Marc and Ben (Jasper photobombed)

I got super spoiled for my birthday this year! My family threw a little party for me while I was home, my friends threw me a girl’s night with games, cupcakes, and yummy food, and Neal topped it off with a great day and Birthday Itinerary.

Toon Town and some Randomness

TOON TOWN: We went to Disneyland tonight and got to visit Toon Town. It was fun and Mickey even gave me a kiss on the hand! He must secretly have a crush on me! :) We saw where all the cartoons live and also went to Tomorrowland where the Innovation center is. It was pretty amazing...it had all the newest technology.... WOW---really AMAZING stuff!

CHURCH CALLINGS: So Neal and I both got new callings at church recently. Neal is the new Elder's Quorum President and I'm the new Primary Pianist.

FLAT TIRE: I got one yesterday. As I was driving to work I noticed it sounded weird and thought maybe it was just a rock in the tire. When I was driving out of the parking lot after work it sounded really weird so I got out and sure enough the right rear tire was FLAT. I called Neal and our good friend Aaron dropped him off after helping put the spare on. Thanks Aaron, we owe you! We took it to Big O because we had just bought new tires in October and this is what they found. . .

CRAZY right?! They couldn't fix the tire because the hole was too big so we had to get a new tire but luckily we had tire warranty and only had to pay $30. Blessing for us!

TRIAL FRAMES: Neal got these for school and is pretty excited. What it does is it has all these different prescriptions people's eyes might have and once they figure out what prescription you are they have you try on the trial frames to see if it corrects your vision.

Humanitarian Ideas

So I just got a calling to be on the enrichment committee and I'm the Humanitarian Leader. I'm very excited about this calling because I've been wanting to do more service lately!I would like some ideas on what to do with this calling if you have any. We we don't really have a DI (Desert Industries) around here so we can't just pick up and drop of Humanitarian kits like I used to back in Idaho. I have a couple of ideas but would appreciate ANY and ALL ideas you might have....Thank you in advance :)

We had Super Saturday today and it was just fun! We had a lot of cute projects and I didn't remember to take any pictures while we were there. BAD ANGIE! But there were "Eye Spy Bags", Exploding box (it's a mini scrapbook/picture box), block signs with sayings, and tile coasters.

I did the block signs and tile coasters. I have pictures of my tiles but I decided I'm going to use them as decoration instead of coasters. I have the instructions to the Eye Spy Bags and Exploding box if any of you are interested in those. I just love doing crafts! It's the greatest!

General Conference

I love this time of the year when we are able to listen to the amazing leaders of our Church. My testimony is always strengthened and I come away having such a strong desire to be better.I am so deeply humbled by all I need to work on. There were so many talks that I felt I needed to hear. I can't wait until the Ensign comes out and I can reread them! I feel so blessed to be apart of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I hope we can follow President Monson's words to "Enjoy the Journey, now" and Elder Wirthlin's "Come what may and Love it!" These are two thing I really need to do!

Now this next part is random (it's not about conference) but I wanted to write it down so I didn't forget the lesson I learned.

I went to Walmart the other day and was in line waiting to check out. I started watching the woman in front of me who was checking out. When I started paying more attention to her, she seemed like the type that was high maintenance. She asked the clerk to double bag heavier things, and the likes while the line just kept getting longer. She had a little girl with her and was eating an ice cream cone. When she finally left the cashier said "I wish more people were like that." I smiled because I thought the cashier was being sarcastic and then the cashier said "That lady just bought all of those groceries for a homeless man outside" I felt horrible and touched! I had judged this woman to be "high maintenance" when all she did was serve someone she didn't even know and touched more than just his life that day. I learned such a huge lesson in judging others. You never know what is going on in someone's life, I hope I never am to quick to judge again and that I am more aware of others who are in need of help!

Come Listen To A Prophet' Voice...

I always so feel uplifted and rejuvenated after General Conference. I can't wait until the Ensign comes out and I can refresh myself again by reading their words. I really loved being able to be a part of the solemn assembly in sustaining Thomas S. Monson as the prophet. I truly know he is the prophet on the Earth today. What an amazing man! I am so deeply humbled every General Conference, I find new things I need to work on, receive answers to prayers, my testimony grows stronger and I realize how much more I need to depend on Heavenly Father.

So during Priesthood Session this year, we had a "Girl's Night." We had a beautiful dinner (thank you Mom!) and did pedicures. It was so fun to spend time with my grandma's and sisters and Mom, Brooklyn loved it too! Now, I have to say this was the first time that my Grandma Bodily Olsen (who's in her 80's I might add) painted her toenails! Can you believe that?!

Here's the beautiful table setting and food with my sisters and grandma's

Here's the finished product!

I Love To See The Temple...

Just hum the children's song "I love to see the Temple" while reading this :) On January 9, 2008 my family and Neal's got to go to the Rexburg Temple Open House. It was absolutely amazing. It has such a spirit about it! It's a beautiful temple and to think that it's so close ...I feel so grateful to have the blessing of temples and eternal families! Here's a picture of angel Moroni being put on the temple, and the finished product and Nephi, Neal, me, Kira, and baby Anna (Neal's sis and bro)
