Neal’s family had a German exchange student when he was 10 yrs old and they still keep in touch with her. Her and her family came to visit and I got to meet them for the first time. They were absolutely delightful! Silke, Marc and Ben (Jasper photobombed)

I got to go to Time Out For Women with my sister Holly and my mom and then I went back home to visit the family for a week afterwards. It was so fun but I sure missed Neal!

Went to the temple and then to Scotty’s Drive in where we used to always go growing up.

I also got to meet up with my brother and sister in law Nephi and Mallory at Orange Leaf (frozen yogurt place) and we talked for hours. Love the family I married into!

I got super spoiled for my birthday this year! My family threw a little party for me while I was home, my friends threw me a girl’s night with games, cupcakes, and yummy food, and Neal topped it off with a great day and Birthday Itinerary.

I’ve decided to disable comments on my blog, not because I don’t like reading your comments but rather so that you don’t feel like you HAVE to comment, rather you can just read and catch up on our life with out feeling guilty or pressured into writing comments. If you want to write a comment to me you can always Facebook me or email me. I really have enjoyed reading everyone’s comments, I hope no one takes offense to me doing this. But this blog is more for me and journaling purposes so I’d rather you just read and enjoy seeing what we’re up to.

April Recap Part III…

Yep, I’m starting from the end of April to the beginning, hold onto your pants…it’s going to be a FUN ride! :)

Birthday…who me?

Yep,  it’s official…I’m closer to 30 than 20 now. My birthday  started off with a sweet surprise Breakfast in Bed {courtesy of my sweet hubby Neal} I went shopping, met up with Neal for lunch and then Neal took me to the Pelican Grill  in Newport Beach for dinner. It was a fancy-dancy restaurant {I mean really fancy! We didn’t know half the words on the menu and I accidently ordered an $8 bottle of sparkling water, but hey it was imported from New Zealand} with a beautiful view of the ocean. We got to watch the sunset as we ate dinner. IT. WAS. AMAZING.

 

End of the Year Banquet

Neal’s optometry school at the end of  the year has a banquet for each class and Neal’s class of 2012 just so happened to be on a boat this year!  So of course we jumped on that bandwagon! We had a wonderful time with friends and his classmates. We ate dinner on the boat while it coasted along Newport Beach harbor.

They had a raffle at the end of dinner and guess what Neal won??? Wine.  Yep, out of the 4 or so Mormons in his class he won the wine. Everyone had a good laugh since they know us Mormons don’t drink. Quite funny really, we couldn’t stop laughing.

 

You’ve had a Birthday….. Shout Hooray!!

Hey everybody, Neal here.  I just wanted to show you what we did on Angie’s Birthday!!

My friend Shunae and I share the same birthday and we decided to get some girls together to pamper ourselves. We went to Ritz Nail Salon and got pedicures…

 

Jasper also hid a present for me under our bed. :D

 

Neal gave me a new sewing machine! I’m really Lovin’ it! Love you babe! Thanks for making my day special.

3 Years and Happily Married

We celebrated our 3rd year anniversary June 16 by going and staying at the Black Swan Inn in Pocatello and then drove to Park City, UT. It was a great 2 days. We were able to spend time at Olympic Park in Park City and got to watch athletes practice for the ski jump. We shopped at the Outlet Malls there and enjoyed the beautiful mountains.

As we reviewed the last 3 years together, we realize a lot has happened. We both graduated from BYU-I, I started working full-time, we moved to California, Neal started and finished his first year of Optometry school, we got pregnant and had a baby…that’s a lot in just a few years. What a blessing to be married to your best friend. We have grown so much closer these last three years and love each other even more!
