Cramming in the Fun…

Before leaving sunny Southern California we just had to go to Disneyland and California Adventure’s one more time! Thank you to our dear friends the Urien’s who work there and kindly let us in for free! We can’t thank you enough, we had a blast!

We girls also hit up the Ellen Show! So fun. Oh my word. Loved the dancing on the set and just how funny and sweet she is. Our show had LL Cool J, Jonah Hill, and Jason Derulo who performed and had some pretty wicked dance moves himself. All the audience got his CD.

You will be missed SoCal, very dearly! Most of all we will miss our dear lifelong friends we made there, we love you all!

More awesome visitors…

Neal’s brother Nephi and sister Kira and her little girl Anna came and stayed with us this last week. We had so much fun and are so glad they got to come and visit. We’ve been in 7th heaven having so much family visiting!

Here are some highlights of this last week:

Went to Dodgers game, sat in awesome seats a few rows from the field (thanks to some friends who hooked us up). We met Kate Voegele, she sang the National Anthem and was nice enough to take a pictures with us, then instead of running right off she stopped and talked for a while. She was seriously so sweet!

Went to Hollywood Blvd and watched Alan Jackson get  a star…

 

Oh and Anna met Woody, she loved it!

Everyone was taking a picture with this guy so we thought we should too and then we would Google him later. Found out he is Shawn from the local “Go Country” radio station. (No wonder it was so easy to get a picture with him)

Went to Downtown Disney, ate at Rainforest Cafe, and watched the Disney fireworks.

We went to Balboa Island and Laguna Beach

Jasper just had to be by his favorite person so he climbed up on the sand hill…

Anna loved on Jasper everyday. She does this thing where she acts like she is Jasper and when Jasper picked up his toy in his mouth and started flinging it around, she picked up her blanket in her mouth and started flinging it around…too funny! She’s one fun little 2 year old and quite smart at that!

While on our way to Hollywood, a Michael Jackson song came on and a few minutes into it Anna yells “Hey, it’s Michael Jackson!”

We had a blast with you Nephi, Kira and Anna…please come again soon! Miss ya already!

Disney On Ice...

We were able to go to Disney On Ice for a really good price on April 3. Neal and I went with the Larson's, Jackson's, Barney's and Aubrey Richardson. It was fun especially watching the little kids, who were in a trance watching their favorite characters skate around. I was very impressed with how well they could skate. It was based on the Incredible's saving Mickey and Minnie from the evil Syndrome.

Sisters Stay in SoCal. . .

My oldest and youngest sister Holly and Heather came and stayed with us this last week. We had a blast and made memories we will never forget. Ross--need I say more...teehee :) We missed having Krystal here though.

We went to Yogurtland the first night, which Heather when she first heard of it thought it was a factory where they made yogurt :) But after that they were hooked and craved it every night :)

We went to Laguna Beach twice, and basked in the warm sun. It truly is one of the prettiest beaches and so relaxing!

The first time we went we saw tons of dolphins... The second time we got to watch a seal... do you see him in there riding the wave?

We went to Disneyland and Neal made a friend on the tram--Eric. He asked Neal if he liked sports and told him he was his friend and said he loved handshakes and pats on the back which he then proceeded to have Neal do, it was so cute!

We went to LA/Hollywood and Chinatown

We went shopping at an outlet mall and Neal was such a good sport! He drove us everywhere last week. I love you honey! Thank you for everything!

I had so much fun with my sisters and can't wait to see them all again! Love you guys and hope you had as much fun as we did!

Toon Town and some Randomness

TOON TOWN: We went to Disneyland tonight and got to visit Toon Town. It was fun and Mickey even gave me a kiss on the hand! He must secretly have a crush on me! :) We saw where all the cartoons live and also went to Tomorrowland where the Innovation center is. It was pretty amazing...it had all the newest technology.... WOW---really AMAZING stuff!

CHURCH CALLINGS: So Neal and I both got new callings at church recently. Neal is the new Elder's Quorum President and I'm the new Primary Pianist.

FLAT TIRE: I got one yesterday. As I was driving to work I noticed it sounded weird and thought maybe it was just a rock in the tire. When I was driving out of the parking lot after work it sounded really weird so I got out and sure enough the right rear tire was FLAT. I called Neal and our good friend Aaron dropped him off after helping put the spare on. Thanks Aaron, we owe you! We took it to Big O because we had just bought new tires in October and this is what they found. . .

CRAZY right?! They couldn't fix the tire because the hole was too big so we had to get a new tire but luckily we had tire warranty and only had to pay $30. Blessing for us!

TRIAL FRAMES: Neal got these for school and is pretty excited. What it does is it has all these different prescriptions people's eyes might have and once they figure out what prescription you are they have you try on the trial frames to see if it corrects your vision.
