March…

Seattle Trip:

We headed to Seattle with some good friends of ours – the Sullenger’s.  The boys had to do some CE classes for Optometry so Cara and I hung out with her kiddos for a day and a half without them.

 

We arrived Friday night late. Saturday we headed to Ikea and shopped for 2 1/2 hours!!! We had a blast! After we grabbed some quick lunch and headed up to the aquarium that is down on the pier. Cara said to her kids jokingly “We paid a dollar per fish so you better enjoy it” It was smaller than I thought, but it was fun regardless.

After the aquarium, we met up with Neal and Kash for some birthday dinner. We tried to go to Pei Wei (twice actually) but couldn’t get in without a reservation, so we settled for Cheesecake Factory.

Day 2 started out with some shopping. The kids played at the indoor play area for awhile and shopped at a few stores. We then returned to play and get some yummy cupcakes. They were delicious!

We met up with the boys and walked to a sandwich shop a couple blocks away.

 

After we went downtown to the Chihuly Glass Museum and the Space Needle. The glass museum was really cool. I can’t even begin to fathom how much time it would take to put it together.

 

After we took the monorail downtown and ate at the Crab Pot and walked through Pikes Market.  Cara and I weren’t as adventurous as the boys.  We both got chicken strips and the boys got a seafood platter, with bibs and hammers and all!  After dinner we rushed back to our cars and headed home.

Day 3 consisted of lots of shopping at some outlets and a drive home! 

It was a way fun trip!  Can’t wait for the next one :)

November…

Went to Gibliano Brother’s dueling piano bar for my friend Cara’s birthday…it was so fun! If you never have been to a dueling piano bar, it's a bar with two pianos on a small stage.  You pretty much sit and listen to music all night long!  You can put in requests and tip the piano player and they can play pretty much anything and they sing too!  The night we went, a guy put in a request to sing a Louis Armstrong song and sounded just like him.  The pianists are usually a little crude, but funny!  We got made fun of for only drinking water and eating and Erica got asked to dance from a random guy…haha we were all rolling on the ground laughing while she danced with him.

Neal did his first scout out with his scouts. Of course it had to snow that week so it was FREEZING for them but they had a good time.

 

Had a girls night at Cara’s and we made these signs. We were able to make them for free and they turned out super cute!

I won this little lovely from the girls over at Oh So Delicioso! I was thrilled to win something for once :)

We got to go home for Thanksgiving, we ate a delicious dinner with the Bodily’s and then went off to the Guymon’s for the annual Ping Pong Tournament where Neal is the reigning champ. My sister-in-law Mallory and her sister Caitlin and I braved the crowds Thanksgiving night and got what we were after{ a TV for our bedroom and a Blu-Ray player and some boots and clothes.}

Cramming in the Fun…

Before leaving sunny Southern California we just had to go to Disneyland and California Adventure’s one more time! Thank you to our dear friends the Urien’s who work there and kindly let us in for free! We can’t thank you enough, we had a blast!

We girls also hit up the Ellen Show! So fun. Oh my word. Loved the dancing on the set and just how funny and sweet she is. Our show had LL Cool J, Jonah Hill, and Jason Derulo who performed and had some pretty wicked dance moves himself. All the audience got his CD.

You will be missed SoCal, very dearly! Most of all we will miss our dear lifelong friends we made there, we love you all!

Halloween…

The SSA at Neal’s school had an awesome party with fun games and I went as a flapper and Neal was my flapper boy (Thanks Tiff for letting me borrow your flapper dress). Here’s some pics of the night. Enjoy!

April Recap Part II

Nephi and Mallory’s Wedding---“The Perfect Pair”

Neal’s brother got married April 14 to one sweet and gorgeous lady named Mallory!  We’re excited she’s apart of the clan! We drove to Mesa, AZ for their wedding. It was a beautiful day and they are a perfect couple! We also got to meet Neal’s sister Kira’s baby Brooklyn  for the first time! (She was born in November.) It was so fun to squeeze her cheeks!

 Candra’s Visit

My good friend Candra came to visit April 18-22. We had a great time and I’m so happy she was able to make it out here! We went to Laguna Beach (saw dolphins), Huntington Beach, shopped, watched Drop Dead Diva season1, ate at IN-N-Out, went to the Angels vs. Red Socks game (saw a home run)! Thanks for coming and spending time with me Candra, hope you had as much fun as I did
