October…

My parents came for a visit the beginning of the month and it was so much fun to have them come and see where we live! We enjoyed conference weekend together and went to Greenbluff, Bowl and Pitcher and visited the Spokane Temple. It was such a wonderful weekend and I loved having them here. I have the greatest parents and feel so incredibly blessed!  Love you maw-maw and paw-paw.

Neal's Grandpa passed away on October 9th. The funeral was that next weekend  so Neal and I hopped in the car and drove home for the funeral.  Neal gave a great prayer at the funeral and his brother Nephi gave a great talk. I enjoyed hearing the grandkids tell stories and reminisce about Grandpa Richins. It was a beautiful funeral and the family paid a great tribute to him.

We had 3 Halloween Party’s this year. We had the annual chili cook off/trunk-or-treat as a ward party and also the following 2 parties!

Party #1: The Klain’s a cute family in our ward did an adult only party. We played Pictionary, family feud Halloween style, murder mystery and ate great food!

Neal has a job!

I just have to brag a little but in a humble way (can you even do that in a humble way?) haha. Well regardless as soon as someone meets Neal (for interviews) he’s a shoe in! He has such a great personality that is warm, humorous, but also professional. What every employer wants right? It was his first job interview and he got the job! I knew he would! Just like when he was interviewing with schools, every interview he did he got offered to attend that school. I seriously love my amazing husband and am so proud of everything he’s accomplished!

He’ll be graduating next month and already has a job lined up…and a good one at that! What a relief!  We feel so blessed for  him to have such a great opportunity to learn from a great doctor in private practice in Spokane, WA. He’ll be working at Optic One Eye Care Centers. (As you can see there are 2 locations he’ll be working at.)

His name is already on the door…eeekkk… so many emotions….it is for real…we really are moving!

Welcome to WASpokane

It’s a little farther from home than we wanted but 8 hours away isn’t so bad. (I have to keep telling myself it’s better than 13 hours away). I never thought we’d end up in WA… but we feel really good about it and know this is where we are supposed to go. He signed a 3 year contract and at that point may have the chance to buy in as a partner. Way to go Dr. Guymon!

Jayden’s Story…

This amazingly wonderful lady Teri Glass contacted us after hearing about “Calling All Angels” and offered to put our story into a hardbound book. She is part of Heritage Makers, which is an amazing way to scrapbook life events. Go check it out here {www.GlassPublishing.org}

Through long hours of service Teri and I accomplished the book, to view Jayden’s story and why we started Calling All Angels please click this link Jayden's Story Book and you will be able to view the book Teri donated to us.

We will forever be grateful to Teri for this sweet act of kindness she gave us, strangers at the time she contacted us and now we will remain life long friends! Teri showed me how important it is to reach out to those you don’t even know and to give service, we hope we can pay it forward though many more years of “Calling All Angels”. Thank you Teri!

"God does notice us, and he watches over us. But it is usually through another person that he meets our needs. Therefore it is vital that we serve each other. So often, our acts of service consist of simple encouragement or of giving mundane help with mundane tasks-- but what glorious consequences can flow from mundane acts and from small but deliberate deeds."

And they lived happily ever after…

On December 19th my sister Heather got married to Mark in the Idaho Falls Temple. They are the perfect couple and we are so happy for them. We felt so grateful we were able to attend. It was a beautiful ceremony and once again I felt so overcome with gratitude knowing that because of these ordinances that we do within the walls of our temples we are able to be an eternal family.

Here are a few pics of the wonderful day. She did a peacock wedding with her colors being blue and pear green with silver. It was beautiful and so was she!

Thankful Hearts…

For Thanksgiving this year we drove the 13 hours home to enjoy time with family. It was a wonderful week but as always goes by too fast! We celebrated two birthday’s, went Christmas Tree hunting with Neal’s parents, enjoyed warm fires with hot chocolate, went to New Moon, visited with friends and family, ate great food, had a bridal shower and got to go to the temple where my sister and my soon to be brother-in-law received their own endowment. It was so neat to have every single one of my family members there! What a blessing the temple is and the knowledge we have of eternal families!

Our hearts are truly full and we can’t wait to go back in just a few weeks. Here’s a few pics.
